The inaugural ceremony of the seventh edition of We Play for the Adriatic and Ionian Macroregion was held on Wednesday 28 August at the Municipality of Ancona. The event includes an international youth soccer tournament for young people born in 2006 and 2007. About two hundred Croatian and Italian football players accompanied by their coaches participated in the ceremony.

The ceremony ended with the signing of the protocol between Luca Ceriscioli, President of the Marche Region, and the governor of the Dalmatia-Split County, Blazenko Boban. The agreement will engage the institutions of the two countries to promote synergies between the territories and stimulate the participation of civil society in the local development process, in particular involving young people.
