In the framework of the AI-NURECC Initiative the official inauguration of the AI-NURECC Direct Infopoint service was held on 8 March at the Municipality of Vasto.
The ribbon was cut by the President of the Forum of the Adriatic and Ionian Cities – FAIC Francesco Menna together with the Councilor for Community Policies Anna Bosco, the coordinator of the FAIC Francesco Buoncompagni, Lisa Esposito of the Ionian Euroregion Association and Angela Di Francesco responsible for the AI-NURECC Direct Info Point service.
The event was attended by municipal councilors, the press, citizenship, local trade associations such as AssoVasto, Confesercenti, Lkl Onlus, representatives of the world of schools and universities as well as the ANCI Regional Abruzzo, with the President Luciano Lapenna and the Director Massimo Luciani. Unable to participate in the inauguration of the Unit for the Adriatic and the Balkans, Directorate General for the European Union of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, sent by the Councilor Andrea Della Nebbia greetings and all greetings participating and friendly.
To underline the strategic importance of the AI-NURECC Direct Infopoint service was the President of the FAIC, the Mayor Francesco Menna who underlined the aims and values of the cooperation between cities of the Adriatic-Ionian Macro Region.
The Councilor for Community Policies of the city of Vasto Anna Bosco, delegate to the FAIC, underlined how the office can be an opportunity to develop thematic and design partnerships between the local communities belonging to the 47 cities belonging to the FAIC and to consolidate the relations among them. He added that the activity carried out by the manager Angela Di Francesco of the service will also determine a strengthening of skills in the field of cooperation and cross-border planning of the administration with a widespread added value.
